I was 36 years old, a mother of four, when my mother told me I was a waste of space.
The truth is, she had been saying it my whole life.
Just never out loud.
It lived in the emotional distance, the masks, the silence, and the unspoken feeling that I was somehow both too much and never enough at the same time.
And for years, I believed it.
That wound shaped everything:
the overachieving,
the perfectionism,
the workaholism,
the abusive relationships I stayed in too long,
the need to constantly prove my worth,
and the masks I wore so well that most people never realized I was quietly falling apart underneath them.
I battled homelessness, financial instability, addiction, and a war with my own body that I fought in silence for years — all while still trying to appear strong on the outside.
Because survival teaches you how to perform long before it teaches you how to heal.
I eventually realized that pain moves through families like water — quietly passing from one generation to the next until someone becomes conscious enough to stop carrying it forward.
I have sat in Fortune 500 boardrooms and in holding cells.
I share that because the people who need this work most are often the ones who have been made to believe they are too complicated, too broken, too much, or too far gone.
But they are not.
I know that because I once believed it too.
There was a moment that changed everything for me.
At my lowest point, I found myself sitting on the floor of my shower completely consumed by a darkness I could no longer outrun. And in that moment, something inside me said:
GET UP
And I did.
I walked out of that bathroom, and on the tv were the co-authors of The Secret speaking about the Law of Attraction. Something about it cracked me open. For the first time, I felt like there might be more to life than survival, pain, and the story I had spent decades believing about myself.
That moment became the beginning of my awakening.
I immersed myself in books, healing, spirituality, meditation, self-discovery, and the deeper questions I had spent my entire life searching for answers to. And eventually, I called my father and said:
“Teach me everything you know.”
That single phone call changed the trajectory of my life.
My father, a master hypnotist trained directly by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in Transcendental Meditation, spent decades studying consciousness, hypnosis, NLP, meditation, metaphysics, and human potential. He became one of my greatest teachers and helped me understand something I had never truly realized before:
so much of what we call identity is actually conditioning, survival, inherited pain, and unconscious belief.
And once you become aware of it, you can begin to change it.
Not overnight.
Not perfectly.
But consciously.
That realization transformed my life.
I stopped carrying pain that was never mine to carry.
I stopped believing survival was my identity.
And I finally began the process of remembering who I was underneath the masks, wounds, and conditioning.
Today, my work is rooted in helping others do the same.
Not through surface-level mindset work.
But through self-worth reclamation through lived transformation.
Because your past does not disqualify you from your future.
And your worth was never determined by what you have been through.
IT NEVER WAS
I am an Emotional Alchemy Mentor, speaker, and the founder of Renee Dean Official and creator of The A.L.C.H.E.M.Y. Reclamation Method™.
A former host of the Beginners Law of Attraction radio show, I have spent over two decades studying consciousness, self-worth, healing, NLP, and human behavior through both professional training and lived experience. My father — a master hypnotist trained directly by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in Transcendental Meditation — became my greatest teacher across that apprenticeship.
My work combines identity reframing, shadow work, inner child healing, emotional awareness, and conscious transformation to help you uncover the masks, beliefs, and survival patterns that have kept you disconnected from yourself for far too long.
Together, we explore not only what happened to you — but how those experiences shaped the way you see yourself, love yourself, and move through the world today.
Through my own journey navigating abusive relationships, homelessness, addiction, grief, financial instability, and a silent battle with my own body, I came to understand that survival patterns are not proof that we are broken — they are evidence of what we learned in order to survive.
Because healing is not about fixing who you are.
It is about remembering who you were before survival became your identity.
My work is rooted in one core truth:
YOU'RE NOT WHAT THEY SAID YOU WERE. YOU NEVER WERE.

I've been writing about this work since 2009. My early blog — Beginner's Guide to the Law of Attraction — is the version of me that was first teaching what I was about to be tested on. I left it intact because it's part of how I know what I know. I would love to share it with you....
